I'm excited to share that in 2027, I'll be serving as the Vice President of the San Francisco Women's Council of REALTORS®!
Back in September, I attended the California Fall Meeting alongside Peri Trono, who will be serving as our 2027 President. We were there to represent San Francisco, connect with other leaders from across California, and prepare for our new roles.
One of the highlights of the event was accepting the Landmark Award on behalf of our San Francisco chapter! The award recognizes our chapter's incredible growth. With more than 100 members, we're now one of the largest Women's Council chapters in California!
Our 2027 board is stepping into leadership of a thriving chapter, and we have so many wonderful officers who came before us to thank for that. They've worked hard to build this community, and we're excited to continue what they've started.
The Fall Meeting was also a great learning experience. We attended a board meeting, which gave me a better understanding of how the organization operates and what to expect in my new role. I also had the opportunity to meet and network with so many inspiring women from across California!
What Is the Women's Council of REALTORS®?
The Women's Council of REALTORS® has a fascinating history! It was founded in 1938, during a time when women were excluded from REALTOR® associations. The organization created opportunities for women in real estate to connect, support one another, and grow as industry leaders.
Today, Women's Council continues that mission by promoting leadership, education, professional development, and networking. Men are welcome to join, too.
One of my favorite things about the Women's Council is that it brings together real estate professionals from different brokerages, cities, and professions. It's an opportunity to build relationships with people you might not otherwise meet, share knowledge, and learn from one another. We also have wonderful strategic partners, including lenders, home stagers, and other real estate industry professionals, who support our chapters and help sponsor networking and educational events.
What Will I Be Doing as First Vice President?
My role involves a little bit of everything!
As First Vice President, I'll be responsible for maintaining our chapter's meeting records and helping support the rest of our leadership team. Part of the role is understanding the responsibilities of the other board members so I can step in and provide support wherever it's needed. I'll also work closely with our President and President-Elect to help keep things running smoothly and ensure our chapter continues to thrive.
I'm looking forward to learning more about the organization, strengthening relationships throughout the real estate community, and helping create opportunities for our members to connect and grow.
I'm honored to be part of the 2027 leadership team, and I'm excited for everything ahead!
